Set up Creagency with Hermes Agent
Configure the local Creagency MCP server in Hermes so recurring launch, newsletter, and product update tasks follow one reliable path.
Quick start
Setup surfaces
Install the Creagency skill so Hermes uses the real API rules instead of inventing endpoints.
mkdir -p ~/.agents/skills/creagency-api
curl -fsSL https://creagency.ai/.agents/skills/creagency-api/SKILL.md \
-o ~/.agents/skills/creagency-api/SKILL.mdUse parseable terminal commands when the agent can run local shell tools.
npm install -g @creagency/agent
export CREAGENCY_API_KEY=creagency_xxx
export CREAGENCY_API_ORIGIN=https://api.creagency.ai
creagency auth:status --json
creagency integrations:list --jsonAdd creagency-mcp under mcp_servers in ~/.hermes/config.yaml. Hosted remote MCP is planned as a separate OAuth-based connector. Use the local CLI and stdio MCP server today.

Hermes turns a newsletter into platform-specific drafts.
Use Creagency to create LinkedIn, X, and Threads drafts from this newsletter. Keep each opening line different.Three drafts are created from one source without publishing.
Hermes follows the same sequence for each launch campaign.
Prepare a three-post launch campaign in Creagency. List accounts first and keep publish actions gated. The campaign is drafted in Creagency with account visibility.
Hermes uploads a campaign image and links it to the relevant posts.
Upload ./campaign.png, attach it to the LinkedIn draft, and show me the asset id.The asset is uploaded and attached to the draft.
Hermes verifies the MCP server before using it for social work.
Check that Creagency MCP tools are available, then list connected social accounts.Hermes confirms the tool surface before drafting.
Run creagency auth:status --json, then integrations:list --json. If the list is empty, connect social accounts in Creagency first.
Create or rotate the API key with posts:read, posts:write, assets:read, assets:write, and integrations:read.
Point it back to the skill rule: create or schedule a draft first unless the user explicitly confirms publish.
